Random Drug Testing Arrives In Nevada State Schools
Green Valley High School in Clark County will become the first school in the Nevada public school system to introduce random drug testing for students. The schools accountability report stated that 19 Green Valley High students were caught distributing drugs in 2007. All student athletes will be subject to random drug testing and a parents of non-athletes can add their child’s name to the random pool list. Student athletes that test positive will have conseling made available to them and may be banned from sports participation from between two to six weeks.
